    On-Campus Visits

The best way to get to know Allegheny — and for us to get to know you — is by spending time on campus.

To register for a in-person visit, please use the calendar feature.

In an effort to promote the health and well being of our entire community, we ask students, faculty, staff, and visitors to be respectful and not travel to campus if they are ill, have been in contact with someone that has been ill in the past 14 days, or have traveled to any CDC-restricted area. Please monitor your local health department guidelines as well as State Department travel advisories. We must ask that you refrain from visiting if your area remains under stay-at-home orders and have travel restrictions.

To help with physical distancing, we ask that you limit the number of guests and family members accompanying you during your visit to one person if possible. Public areas are being cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis and between visitors. Allegheny is a friendly place, and as much as we value greeting you with a handshake, we ask that you refrain from physical contact during your visit.

A typical visit will include a personalized tour of campus for you and your guests, led by an Allegheny student or staff member and a "counselor session", a conversation with an admissions representative. We ask that all visitors practice physical distancing during the visit by remaining 6 feet apart. Compliance with current campus safety measures, including wearing a face covering, will be required for all visitors while on campus.

All visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Walk-in visits are not permitted. Prior to your visit, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire. Failure to complete our questionnaire will result in the cancellation of your visit. Public areas are being cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis and between visitors.

    Campus Tours
These customized walking tours of campus, led by a current Allegheny College staff member, last approximately one hour. We recommend that you sign up for a counselor session along with your campus tour.

    Counselor Sessions
Counselor sessions serve as an informal, informative conversation with an admissions staff member. The time is used to discuss the opportunities at Allegheny and the admission process. Prospective students should come prepared to discuss their interest in Allegheny and their questions. These sessions typically last about 45 minutes, with an opportunity for family members to join at the end and ask questions.
